RCMP recruitment

There is no other police force in Canada that provides the level of service and variety offered by the RCMP. With over 150 specializations a career with the RCMP is full of opportunity for continued learning and growth.

If you want to make a difference in your community and your country, explore what we have to offer.

We are now offering careers in the following fields:

Modernization in the RCMP

In 2018, the RCMP launched "Vision 150 and Beyond," a modernization plan to build a healthier, more modern, trusted and inclusive RCMP.

Vision 150 will allow the 150th anniversary of the RCMP to be a turning point in our organization. It is a way that we can acknowledge our journey from past to present and our contribution to the story of Canada. It will also provide us with the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment and show pride as RCMP employees. Finally, the 150th anniversary will give us the chance to walk with humility and reconciliation by showing tangible action items taken to learn from our experiences. With this, we can walk the path to becoming a more modern, diverse, inclusive and trusted organization.

Learn more about Vision 150 and the RCMP's strategic plan.

History

We've been an iconic Canadian institution since 1873. We're recognized around the world for our policing excellence and the iconic image of the "Mountie" in red serge.

From 300 members in 1873 to over 30,000 police officers and employees now, we have grown and evolved with and for Canadians.

Today, our mandate spans from coast-to-coast-to-coast, serving at the community, provincial, territorial and federal levels. We work to prevent crime, enforce the law, investigate offences and more.
