Update: The Codiac Regional RCMP has identified the vehicle of interest. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance. Police are still asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, to call the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.

The Codiac Regional RCMP is seeking the public's help identifying a vehicle of interest following a hit and run involving a cyclist in Moncton, N.B.

On August 21, 2022, shortly before 11 a.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a hit and run collision between a car and a cyclist near the intersection of Morton Avenue and Mascaret Street. The collision is believed to have occurred when the car was passing two cyclists, and struck one of them. The driver of the car then fled the scene. The cyclist, a 26-year-old man from Moncton, was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious, life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone who has information on the vehicle, who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident, or any residents or businesses in the area who may have surveillance footage from the time of the incident, to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
