Arrests Made in Iqaluit Liquor Theft Break and Enters

Following a one month long investigation, the Iqaluit RCMP General Investigation Section, with the assistance of General Duty members and the "V" Division Forensic Identification Services, arrested three males in relation to several recent Break and Enters where large amounts of alcohol were stolen.

39 year old Aaron AKULUKJUK was arrested and charged with seventeen (17) offences including Break and Enter to a business x 3, Theft over $5000, Theft under $5000 x2, Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 3, Utter Threats x 4, Theft of a motor vehicle, Flight from police, Dangerous operation of a Motor Vehicle and Unlawfully in a Dwelling. He has been remanded into custody where he will return to court January 25th, 2022.

A second male was arrested and is facing one count each of Break and Enter to a Business, Theft under $5000, Possession of Break-In Instrument and Mischief. His first court appearance is February 24th, 2022.

A third male was arrested and is facing one count of Break and Enter to a Business as well as one count of Theft under $5000. His first court appearance is March 10th, 2022.
