Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit recover more than $150,000 of stolen property

This past month, Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) have made enhanced efforts to recover stolen property that have resulted in $150,000 worth of stolen items being returned to their rightful owners.

On May 10, 2022, Airdrie RCMP CRU, with assistance from the Southern District Emergency Response Team and Airdrie RCMP General Duty, conducted a search warrant in Rocky View County, Alta. resulting in $20,000 worth of stolen property being recovered. The property included tools, generators, personal items, and identity documents.

From June 8 to June 15, 2022, Airdrie CRU, in partnership with Airdrie RCMP General Duty, recovered two stolen vehicles, a stolen utility trailer, a stolen travel trailer, and a stolen Skid Steer - all in Rocky View County.

The following people have been charged as a result of these investigations:

A 31-year-old individual, of Calgary, has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

A 40-year-old individual, of Calgary, has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

A 46-year-old individual, of Calgary, has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

A 25-year-old individual, of Calgary, has been charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 and two counts of Fail to Comply with a Release Order.

A 41-year-old individual, of Calgary, has been charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

A 45-year-old individual, of Balzac, Alta., has been charged with Possession of identity documents, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000.
