As per the RCMP's independent external investigation policy, we have requested Saskatoon Police Service conduct the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of the 30-year-old female from North Battleford. The Saskatchewan Health Authority is also conducting a review of the incident.

In addition, we have requested the Ministry of Justice appoint an independent observer. As this matter is the subject of an external investigation, no further information can be made available at this time.
