A Cupids man was arrested at a local drive-thru in Bay Roberts on March 31, 2021, after he failed to comply with a demand in relation to an impaired driving investigation.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Bay Roberts RCMP received a report of a suspected impaired driver. Police made a patrol and located the described vehicle in the lineup of a local drive-thru. Officers spoke to the driver and suspected he was impaired by a drug. The man refused to comply with a demand to complete roadside sobriety testing and was arrested.
He was transported to the detachment and was later released from custody. He now faces a charge for refusing to comply with a demand and his driver's licence is suspended. He is scheduled to attend court at a later date.
