Update: Wanted Marystown man Tony Farrell is in police custody

Burin Peninsula RCMP is looking to locate and arrest 33-year-old Anthony (Tony) Cyril Farrell of Marystown, who is wanted in relation to a number of criminal charges.

On November 6, 2020, police attended Farrell's residence to conduct a check of his court ordered curfew. Farrell failed to present himself at the door. Police located him at his residence the next evening. An officer attempted to take him into police custody however, he resisted arrest, assaulted the officer, and took off on foot.

Farrell, who is charged with failing to comply with the conditions of a court order, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer, is currently evading police. A warrant for his arrest has been issued by Grand Bank Provincial Court.
