Airdrie RCMP investigate threats to schools

Over the weekend Airdrie RCMP became aware of a potential threat made to two local high schools. At this time, RCMP is working diligently to determine the origin of these threats. These threats were made over social media and have been shared. As a result, Airdrie RCMP is continuing to receive calls of similar nature, which are believed to be related to the original complaint.

This morning there was an increased police presence around these schools, and there were no incidents. The RCMP is treating this very seriously and will continue to take appropriate action to ensure public safety. The investigation is ongoing.
