The Royal Canadian Mounted Police opened its first detachment in Sherbrooke in 1932. The city is the primary economic, cultural and institutional centre of the Estrie region. The jurisdiction covers the area from Saint Étienne-de-Bolton in the west to Saint-Robert-Bellarmin in the east, and from the Canada US border in the south to Danville in the north.

RCMP detachments remain open and your local police officers continue to be present in your community to ensure community safety. Out of respect for social distancing, and in consultation with local authorities and health professionals, we have made the following changes:

  • Members of the public are encouraged to check with their local RCMP detachment for more information on services currently available.
