The RCMP's fallen must never be forgotten. The Silent Partner Program allows the spirit of those RCMP members who died in the line of duty to live on through the long careers of our future police officers.

The Silent Partner Program was started by Commissioner Bob Paulson and launched in 2013. This initiative helps form a bond between our fallen members and our newest members of the RCMP. It is another way of ensuring these courageous members are remembered and honoured for the sacrifices they have made for our country.

Cadets at the RCMP Academy receive a card with information about an RCMP fallen member. This card includes personal data and the circumstances surrounding the member's death. Where possible it may also include a picture and other interesting details about their important contributions to the Force.

Cadets carry their card with them throughout training and may be asked to share information about their silent partner at different times during training. At graduation, new RCMP members are reminded at the rose ceremony to keep their cards with them to preserve the memory of those we have lost, alive.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to the families of Cst. Adrian Oliver and Cst. Marc Bourdages for allowing us to share their Silent Partner cards.
