During the 26-week Cadet Training Program, cadets gain the skills needed to build relationships with the diverse communities we serve across Canada. The program continuously evolves to reflect the current needs of frontline policing.

Police Dog Demonstrations
Wednesdays from Victoria Day to Labour Day at the Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail, Alberta
Sunset Ceremony
This colourful event includes a foot-drill display, a cannon drill and the ceremonial lowering of the Canadian flag to the playing of Retreat. The event ends with a march past and a formal salute to the review officer.
RCMP National Memorial Service
The RCMP Memorial Service is held on the second Sunday in September at the RCMP Academy, Depot Division, in Regina.
Name the Puppy Contest
Every year, we hold a contest for the children of Canada to help find names for future police dogs.
