Depot works with outside agencies and partners to contribute to the Cadet Training Program (CTP). They have strong community connections and share knowledge that plays an important role in policing.

During training, cadets see presentations from agencies including Victim Services, Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, Mental Health Association and Schizophrenia Society of Canada. Guest speakers address issues related to aging, mental health, and various aspects of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Cadets also hear from an outside resource panel with a victim, family services representatives, safe house counsellors and victim services workers.

The curriculum development team collaborates on curriculum topics with subject matter experts from local, provincial and national agencies. They also collaborate with local Knowledge Keepers and Elders, who provide learning opportunities and events throughout the year.

These partnerships contribute to the innovative and progressive training material in the CTP. The CTP is continuously updated to ensure it is always in line with the operational needs of its members in the field, as well as the needs of every Canadian.
