Whitehorse RCMP are asking residents to significantly reduce the chances that your vehicle will be stolen by taking some simple measures.
- Never leave anything valuable in your vehicle
- Never leave your vehicle running
- Close and lock all doors and windows
- Do not leave your key fob in the console, inside the vehicle or hidden in places on the vehicle. Opportunistic thieves will check under vehicles, look on top of tires, and will look in gas tanks!
We encourage anyone who has been a victim of a crime to report it to police. All calls to the RCMP are important. Any information and tips you provide to police, no matter how small they seem, can go a long way in helping track, solve and prevent crimes.
