News release
On January 18, 2024, at approximately 2:45 pm, Virden RCMP received a report of an assault in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. When police arrived on scene at a residence, they found a male victim, 55, inside the residence with significant injuries from an assault. He was transported to hospital.
Investigation led police to the suspect. John Robert Hall, 60, was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm. He has been remanded in custody.
The victim is in stable condition.
