Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continued to investigate the March 15 suspicious death of an adult male in Patuanak, who can now be identified as 26-year-old Brandon Dawatsare.

On March 17, they arrested an adult female in Prince Albert.

As a result of continued investigation, 22-year-old Brittany Bear is charged with one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.

Brittany Bear is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on March 18, 2024.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes investigating suspicious death in Patuanak

On March 15, 2024 at approximately 1 a.m., Patuanak RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence in Patuanak.

Officers responded and located the injured adult male. He was later declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 26-year-old from Patuanak. His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.

His death is considered suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating.

If investigators determine an imminent public safety risk exists, we will notify the public.
