As a result of a continued investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, it has been confirmed this incident is a murder-suicide.
A 67-year-old male, a 58-year-old female and a 30-year-old male died as the result of homicide. A 34-year-old male died as a result of self-inflicted injuries. As previously indicated, they are members of the same family.
Their families have been updated on the investigation and victim services have been made available to them.
Police are not seeking additional suspects in regards to this incident and we do not anticipate having further updates related to the investigation as no charges will be laid.

Update #1 – RCMP Major Crimes investigating deaths near Neudorf, Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continue to investigate the deaths of four adults located at a rural residence near Neudorf, Saskatchewan.
Initial investigation has indicated that the deceased were of the same family, made up of two adult parents and two of their adult children. We are not providing their names or other identifying information at this time. Their next of kin have been notified and victim services made available to them.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and General Investigation Section remain on scene performing further examination, processing, and interviews.
The Saskatchewan Coroner's Service has transported the deceased to Regina, where autopsies are scheduled to take place this week.
Based on ongoing preliminary investigation, Major Crimes has no reason to believe there is any risk to the public. If this changes, Saskatchewan RCMP will notify the public immediately.
We are unable to confirm additional details at this stage in the investigation. We will provide updates when it is possible.

On March 24, 2024, at approximately 6:05 p.m., Melville RCMP received a request to conduct a wellness check at a rural residence near Neudorf, Saskatchewan. Officers attended the property and located four deceased adults inside the residence. The deaths are being considered suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken carriage of the investigation in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroner's Service. Initial investigation indicates that there is no imminent risk to public safety. Should this change and a public safety risk is identified, Saskatchewan RCMP will notify the public immediately.
