On June 4, 2024, Tisdale RCMP received a report that a male had threatened two individuals with a firearm at a residence on Kinistin Saulteaux Nation.
Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined that an adult male approached the individuals, who were known to him, and pointed a firearm at them. The firearm was not discharged and no physical injuries were reported to police. The adult male then fled on foot.
As a result of continued investigation, Tisdale RCMP have charged 39-year-old Kenneth Iron from Kinistin Saulteaux Nation with:
- two counts, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, Section 85(3), Criminal Code;
- one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(3), Criminal Code; and
- one count, careless use of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest and Tisdale RCMP is actively working to locate him. They ask members of the public to report all sightings and information on his whereabouts.
Kenneth Iron is described as approximately 6' tall and 185 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
He may be driving a yellow GMC Sonoma with Saskatchewan license plate 347 MWF, though this can't be confirmed.
