RCMP seeking public’s help following a series of thefts

Update: The individual involved in a series of thefts in Atholville has been identified. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The Campbellton RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in connection with a series of thefts in Atholville, N.B.

The thefts occurred between September 30, 2024, and October 24, 2024, when an individual walked into a business on Savoie Street in Atholville on multiple occasions, took merchandise, then left the business without paying.

Police are now releasing surveillance footage photos of the individual who entered the store and the vehicle in connection with the thefts, in hopes that someone may recognize the individual or the vehicle.

The individual is described as a woman, with long brown hair, tall, slim build, and in her forties. She left the business in a white Volkswagen Jetta.

A second individual is believed to be involved in these thefts, as the primary suspect was seen, on a few occasions, entering the passenger side of a vehicle while fleeing the scene. A description of the second individual is not available at this time.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Campbellton RCMP at 506-789-6000.
