UPDATE: Norway House RCMP respond to firearms complaint

On January 31, 2024, RCMP charged Kevin Folster-Flett and Evan Folster, both of Norway House, in relation to this investigation.

30-year-old Kevin Folster-Flett, of Norway House, is charged with multiple Criminal Code charges including Pointing a Firearm, Uttering Threats and Resisting Arrest.

27-year-old Evan Folster, of Norway House, is charged with multiple Criminal Code charges including Pointing a Firearm, Uttering Threats and Resisting Arrest.

Folster-Flett and Folster have been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court later today.

The investigation continues.


At approximately 4:00 pm on January 30, 2024, Norway House RCMP received a report of an individual pointing a firearm at a person in the townsite area of the community.

Officers immediately responded and located the suspect; however, he and two other individuals barricaded themselves within a residence and refused to exit.

Officers contained the area, as additional RCMP resources were deployed to the community.

At approximately 11:00 pm, with the assistance of the RCMP's Emergency Response Team (ERT), Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), Crisis Negotiator Team (CNT), and Police Dog Services (PDS), officers arrested two adult males and an adult female.

A 30-year-old male and a 27-year-old male, both of Norway House, are each facing multiple Criminal Code charges including Pointing a Firearm and Uttering Threats. They have been remanded into custody.

The female has been released without charges.
