On January 11, 2024, at approximately 7:40 am, Brandon RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Road 340, near the intersection of Thompson Road, in the RM of Cornwallis.
The initial investigation has determined that a car going north collided with a semi-truck going south.
The driver of the car, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene and identification is still pending.
The driver of the semi, a 22-year-old male from Portage la Prairie, was not injured.
Brandon RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
