Arviat, Nunavut
On May 3, 2024 at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Arviat RCMP responded to complaint on 9th Ave. Upon investigation, RCMP learned that a male had broken into a residence and assaulted two children, and assaulted a female bystander who came to the aid of the children. The male was arrested without incident. The two youth and female received medical treatment. The two youths were later discharged, but the adult female transported via medivac to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Bradley Issakiark (26) has been charged with the following offences:
• One count of Aggravated Assault, Section 268 C.C
• Two counts of Assault with a Weapon, Section 267 C.C
• Two counts of Break and Enter, Section 348 C.C
• One count of Possession of a Weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, Section 88 C.C
Issakiark was remanded and his next court appearance is scheduled for May 21, 2024.
