On March 29, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Strathcona County RCMP responded to complaint of deceased individual on Township Road 510 in Sherwood Park, Alta. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male inside of a vehicle.
At this time, the circumstances around the death have been deemed suspicious. The Alberta RCMP Major Crime Unit has been deployed to take carriage of the investigation with the assistance of Strathcona County RCMP and Edmonton (HQ) Forensic Identification Services.
RCMP advise there is no threat to public safety.
The victim has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton and an autopsy is scheduled for April 2, 2024.
RCMP are seeking public assistance in this investigation.
