A 43-year-old man from Shediac, N.B., has been charged following an armed robbery in the community.
On April 17, 2024, shortly after 3 a.m., members of the Shediac RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at a business on Main Street in the community. The suspect told the clerk he had a gun and proceeded to take a number of lottery scratch tickets before leaving on foot.
On April 23, members of the Shediac RCMP and the Southeast District Crime Reduction Unit arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with the investigation.
On April 24, Steve Hudon of Shediac appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with robbery with a firearm.
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on April 26, 2024.
