West Hants District RCMP arrest man in rash of thefts from vehicles

West Hants District RCMP has arrested a man after a rash of thefts from vehicles in the Payzant Dr. area of Windsor.

On February 21, 2023, at 7:55 a.m., West Hants District RCMP received several reports of vehicles having been broken into and, items stolen from within the vehicles, overnight. In total, at least eight vehicles located on Payzant Dr., Fairfield Crt., Town Rd. and Goosie Lp., were involved.

RCMP officers located and safely arrested a 25-year-old Windsor man later in the day. He was transported to the West Hants District RCMP Detachment and was later released on conditions. Some of the items that were stolen from the vehicles were also recovered. The man is expected to face charges of Mischief and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and is expected to appear in Windsor Provincial Court on April 4, 2023.
