Plane crash

On July 21, 2023, at approximately 2:15 pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a plane crash east of Highway 59 near the intersection of Provincial Road 435 and 31 East, in the RM of St. Clements.

RCMP attended and located a small, single engine airplane, in a field off Highway 59.

The pilot and lone occupant, a 32-year-old male from Winnipeg, was able to get out of the airplane on his own and was checked and released on scene by Emergency Medical Services.

The investigation has determined that the airplane had landed and was attempting to take off again, when it went into the ditch and rolled.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada was notified.
