RCMP seeking information following a series of incidents

The West District RCMP is asking for the public's assistance following a series of incidents that took place on Deer Island, NB.

On July 11, 2023, shortly after 11 p.m., members of the St. George RCMP detachment responded to a report of a disturbance at the ferry terminal on Deer Island. Throughout the investigation, it was learned that a vehicle was heavily damaged by a group of unknown individuals.

The same evening, shortly after midnight, police received a report of a structure fire at an abandoned residence on Deer Island. The fire is believed to be suspicious in nature.

On July 12, at 10:30 a.m., police received a report of a theft of fuel at the ferry terminal on Deer Island.

Anyone with information about these incidents or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130. The investigation is ongoing.
