Pictou County District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on the Greenhill Rd. in Alma.
Early this morning, at approximately 1:43 a.m., Pictou County District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Greenhill Rd. and Douglas Rd. in Greenhill after two pedestrians walking along the road discovered the vehicle in a wooded area off the roadway.
The driver, and sole occupant of the car, a 47-year-old Sylvester man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
The roadway has reopened after being closed for several hours.
