RCMP arrest man wanted on Canada-wide warrant

The Southeast District RCMP has arrested George Hennick, a 32-year-old man from Ontario, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

In August 2021, a Canada-wide warrant was issued by the Ontario Provincial Police for George Hennick's arrest. He was wanted on charges of sexual assault, compelling the commission of bestiality and failure to comply with his release orders.

On January 24, 2023, the Southeast District RCMP received information that George Hennick could be residing in New Brunswick and a joint investigation was conducted by members of the Southeast District Crime Reduction Unit, Richibucto Detachment, and Shediac Detachment.

On February 1, 2023, members of the Southeast District Crime Reduction Unit arrested George Hennick in Boundary Creek, N.B. He remains in police custody and will be transferred back to Ontario to appear in court.

The investigation is ongoing.
