News release

Prince District RCMP has achieved success in targeting property crime in 2022. "It all starts with consulting with our communities" said Sgt Neil Logan, Acting District Commander. Prince District priorities were set based on information from local community partners and through examination of crime statistics, allowing the RCMP to identify locations of interest and prolific offenders.

Through the use of intelligence led policing Prince District was able to focus efforts and achieve positive results. In 2022, Prince District RCMP saw over $100,000 in property recovered, 26 property crime arrests, 81 charges for property related offences and 20 more charges are pending. "Our hope is that with this continued intelligence led approach, with a focus on prolific offenders, our property related offences will decrease and lead to safer communities in Prince District." Sgt Neil Logan
