Parkland RCMP execute search warrant related to drug investigation

On May 9, 2023, Parkland RCMP Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Stony Plain following a drug investigation. As a result of the search, a significant quantity of drugs was seized, including methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as Canadian currency and stolen property.

The items seized include:

  • Approximately nine ounces of suspected Methamphetamine;
  • Approximately four grams of suspected Fentanyl;
  • Canadian currency and a vehicle were seized as proceeds of crime.

A 24-year-old female resident of Stony Plain was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The accused is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain on July 11, 2023.

"This represents a significant seizure of suspected drugs and proceeds of crime that have been removed from our streets," says Parkland RCMP Detachment Commander Insp. McGillivray. "The Parkland RCMP will continue to target this activity in our efforts at crime reduction to ensure a safer community for the residents of Stony Plain and Parkland County."
