Update 2- Manitoba RCMP investigate homicide

Fantasia Prince has been arrested. The RCMP thanks the public and the media for their assistance.


Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services have issued a warrant of arrest for Fantasia Prince, a 26-year-old female from Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation, in relation to the homicide of a 24-year-old female that occurred on Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation on June 29, 2023.

Fantasia Prince is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and has other outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Police are asking anyone with information about Fantasia's whereabouts to call the Manitoba First Nation Police Service at 204-843-7700 or the Amaranth RCMP at 204-843-2691. Fantasia Prince may be armed and should not be approached.


On June 29, 2023, at approximately 3:15 pm, Manitoba First Nation police Service responded to an injured female, at a residence on Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation. When officers arrived, they located a 24-year-old female deceased in the home.

Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

RCMP Major Crime Services, along with Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
