Man arrested for recent break and enter at Orange Store in Steady Brook

Three masked individuals are walking in the snow at night towards the entrance of a gas station after hours with bags in their hands.

Following an investigation into a recent break, enter and theft that occurred at the Orange Store in Steady Brook, 41-year-old Justin Burton was arrested by Corner Brook RCMP.

During the early morning hours of February 13, 2023, three masked suspects forced entry inside the business and stole a large number of lottery pull tabs. One of those three has since been identified as Burton.

Burton was arrested on March 3, 2023, appeared in court and was remanded over the weekend.

He attends court today and is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Break and Enter
  • Theft under $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime - four counts
  • Breach of court order – two counts

The investigation into the identity of the remaining two suspects is continuing. An image of all three is attached.
