Leduc RCMP Drug Unit charge male with drug trafficking

In June 2023, Leduc RCMP Drug Unit began a two-week investigation into drug trafficking in the Leduc area.

As a result of the investigation, on June 21, 2023, Leduc RCMP Drug Unit with the assistance of the Leduc RCMP General Investigative Section and Crime Reduction Unit, executed a search warrant in the Keystone Crescent area in Leduc.

As a result of the search police seized two ounces of cocaine, three ounces of a cutting agent, 10 grams of psilocybin, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.

Leduc RCMP have charged an 18-year-old individual, a resident of Leduc, with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
  • Trafficking a controlled substance - Cocaine (x3)

Following a judicial hearing, the individual was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Leduc provincial court on July 20, 2023.
