Kings District RCMP arrest four people in shooting

Kings District RCMP have arrested four people after a shooting last night in Kingston.

On March 6, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Kings District RCMP responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the Pleasant St. area. RCMP officers located a 30-year-old man laying in a driveway on Pleasant St. He had suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

RCMP officers safely arrested two men at a nearby home and both were held in custody overnight.

At approximately 3 a.m., at a home on Hwy. 201 in Nictaux, Annapolis District RCMP located a vehicle that had been stolen in the Greenwood area a few hours earlier. Officers located two men, believed to have been involved in the shooting in Kingston, on the property. Both were safely arrested and held in custody overnight.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Search warrants are being executed on multiple scenes and vehicles.

At this time, no further suspects are being sought. Investigators believe the victim was targeted and all parties involved are known to each other.
