Holyrood RCMP responds to residential fire in Brigus Junction, seeks public’s assistance

A large residential wooden structure, under new construction, is engulfed in flames at dusk.

Holyrood RCMP is investigating a residential fire that occurred last night at a new build home that was currently under construction in Brigus Junction.

Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, police received the report of the fire at a residential structure on Connors Cove Road in Brigus Junction. The fire completely destroyed the structure. Contractors, who had been working on the home earlier in the day, were not present when the fire started and no one was injured.

A Fire Scene Investigator with Provincial Fire Services attended the scene and the investigation into the cause of the blaze is continuing.
