Cut Knife RCMP seeking information on fatal collision involving pedestrian

On November 24, 2023 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Cut Knife RCMP received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway #40, approximately two kilometres east of Cut Knife, Saskatchewan.

Officers and EMS immediately responded and located an injured adult male. He was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 26-year-old male from Ahtahkakoop First Nation, Saskatchewan. His family has been notified.

Initial investigation determined the male was struck by a vehicle. The driver and vehicle have not been located.

Cut Knife RCMP is asking the public for assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved.

If you were traveling on Highway #40 east of Cut Knife between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on November 24, or have any other information related to this incident please call Cut Knife RCMP at 306-398-3500.

Investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
