Cumberland County District RCMP is leading a multi-agency search for a missing boater in Tidnish, Cumberland County.
On September 3, 2023, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Cumberland County District RCMP responded to a report of an overdue person in Northport, Cumberland County. RCMP officers learned that a 64-year-old man had gone out on his boat on September 2 and had not yet returned home.
Cumberland County District RCMP, began a search for the man, who had gone boating on the Tidnish River. Resources from the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team, multiple fire departments, Ground Search and Rescue teams and the Joint Rescue Co-Ordination Centre have been called in to assist with the search. The man has not yet been located.
Search efforts are continuing.
