Colchester County District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Hwy. 2 in Hilden.
On June 13, 2023, at approximately 8 a.m., Colchester County District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 2 in Hilden. RCMP officers learned that a Toyota Yaris and a Hummer H2 had been travelling in opposite directions when they collided and came to rest in the middle of the road.
The driver, and sole occupant of the Yaris, a 63-year-old Green Creek woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver, and sole occupant of the Hummer, a 53-year-old Hilden man, suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
A RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 2 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
