On June 12, 2023, at approximately 3:35 pm, Bloodvein RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Rice River Road, approximately 8.5 km south of Loon Straits, on the way to Bloodvein First Nation.
A vehicle with four occupants was travelling on Rice River Road, when it went off the roadway and rolled.
A 29-year-old female and a 3-year-old male, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 30-year-old male and an 8-year-old female, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Bloodvein RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
