Black Lake RCMP arrested Jake Toutsaint without incident in Black Lake on August 1, 2023.

He is scheduled to appear via telephone in La Ronge Provincial Court on August 3, 2023.

Black Lake RCMP ask members of the public to report sightings of Jake Toutsaint

On July 24, 2023 at approximately 4:10 p.m., Black Lake RCMP received a report of an armed male in Black Lake.

Investigation determined an adult male approached an individual outside of a business and pointed a firearm, then fled on an ATV. The victim did not report any physical injuries to police.

Officers immediately responded and began searching for the male suspect. He drove up to the officers several times on the ATV, however he fled when he was told he was under arrest.

As a result of continued investigation, 28-year-old Jake Toutsaint from Black Lake is charged with:

  • one count, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code;
  • one count, assault with weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code;
  • one count, unlawful possession of a firearm, Section 92(1), Criminal Code;
  • three counts, firearm/ammunition possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code;
  • one count, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
  • one count, resist arrest, Section 129(a), Criminal Code;
  • one count, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code
  • two counts, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, fail to comply with recognizance, Section 811, Criminal Code.

Jake Toutsaint is described as approximately 6'2" tall and 190 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including a skull motif on his lower back, writing on his right arm, and a rosary on his right wrist.

Jake Toutsaint is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him and call police immediately.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest and Black Lake RCMP continue efforts to locate him. Toutsaint is also wanted by Black Lake RCMP on a warrant for assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with probation in relation to a May 2023 incident in Black Lake.
