Beaumont RCMP execute search warrant, seizing drugs and weapons

Beaumont RCMP have charged one person following a two-week Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation.

On Dec. 9, 2022, Beaumont RCMP General Investigation Section and General Duty members, with the assistance of the Leduc RCMP Drug Unit and Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT), executed a search warrant at a residence in south east Edmonton in relation to cocaine trafficking.

As a result of the search, officers seized the following:

  • 143g of Fentanyl
  • 125g of Cocaine
  • 83g of Psilocybin
  • 24g of Heroin
  • 75 Tablets of OxyContin
  • 98 Tablets of Lorazepam
  • 10 Sheets of LSD
  • Approximately 400g of Marihuana
  • 250 bags of edibles
  • Methamphetamine
  • Codeine
  • Over 1000 rounds of ammunition
  • Three imitation firearms
  • Taser like device
  • Canadian currency
  • Over $4500 in counterfeit currency

A 20-year-old individual, a resident of Edmonton, was charged with the following:

  • Trafficking a controlled substance (x2)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x7)
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime
  • Possession of Counterfeit Currency

Following a judicial hearing, the 20-year-old individual was released from custody. The individual is scheduled to appear in Edmonton provincial court on Jan. 12, 2023.
