47-year-old woman dies following single-vehicle crash

A 47-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in the Grand Falls Regional Municipality, N.B.

On September 22, 2023, at approximately 6:15 a.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP detachment, Grand Falls Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near the West River Road in the Grand Falls Regional Municipality. A 47-year-old woman from Perth-Andover, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene as a result of her injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and went into a ravine.

An RCMP Remote Piloted Aircraft Operator and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office are both assisting with the investigation. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
