37-year-old woman dies following single-vehicle crash

A 37-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in Keswick Ridge, N.B.

On September 8, 2023, at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of the Keswick RCMP detachment, Keswick Ridge Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Route 616 and Holyoke lane, in Keswick Ridge.

The driver, a 37-year-old woman from Keswick Ridge, was transported to hospital where she died from a result of her injuries. A young child, and only other passenger of the vehicle, was also located at the scene of the crash and was transported to hospital, but is not believed to have suffered any injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and rolled several times.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office are both assisting with the investigation.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman's exact cause of death.

The road was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
