22-year-old charged in connection with aggravated assault

A 22-year-old man from Listiguj, Quebec, has been charged in connection with an aggravated assault in Campbellton, N.B.

On February 11, 2023, members of the Campbellton RCMP detachment responded to a report of an altercation between three individuals on Andrew street in Campbellton. When police arrived at the scene, they located a 23-year-old man on the side of the road suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious, life-threatening injuries.

On February 12, a 22-year-old man from Listiguj, Quebec, was arrested in Campbellton in connection with the incident.

On February 13, Storm Martin appeared in Campbellton Provincial Court and was charged with failure to comply with a probation order. He was remanded into custody.

On February 15, a charge of aggravated assault was also laid against Storm Martin. He remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court on April 15.

Also on February 15, a charge of aggravated assault was laid against 29-year-old Desmond Issac Barnaby in connection with the incident.
