Turner Valley RCMP investigate attempted theft of motor vehicle occupied by a child

On June 10, 2022, at approximately 8:30 a.m., an unknown male attempted to gain access to a vehicle, which was parked adjacent to the Turner Valley school. There was a child sitting in the parked vehicle; however, at this time police do not think that this was an attempt to abduct the child. The male was last seen walking down the laneway near the United Church in Turner Valley.

The male suspect is described as follows:

  • Approximately 40-years-old
  • Slim build with an estimated weight of 130 lbs
  • Long blonde hair and a darker complexion
  • Was wearing a green long sleeve shirt and black pants with polka dots

The RCMP investigation into the matter is ongoing. Police are asking residents in the area to check possible surveillance footage. This is a reminder to all members of the public to remain vigilante and keep your doors locked when leaving a vehicle unattended.
