Sylvan Lake RCMP investigate stabbing

On June 6, 2022, Sylvan Lake RCMP received a report of a stabbing that just occurred on Lake Shore Drive. Upon arrival, RCMP met with a 21-year-old victim who had what appeared to be stab wounds. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

The RCMP investigation has resulted in charges being laid against a 28-year-old individual for the following:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon

RCMP have issued a warrant for the 28-year-old individual's arrest and are asking for the public assistance in locating him. The 28-year-old individual is described as follows:

  • Fair completion
  • Brown Hair
  • 5 feet 9 inches tall
  • 135 pounds
  • Neck tattoo
