St. Albert RCMP advise of ongoing police incident – Update #2

On Nov. 8, 2022, at 7:05 p.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a firearms complaint at the Horizon Motel, located on St. Albert Trail. As the situation developed, RCMP issued an advisory to the public asking them to avoid the area and to expect a heavy police presence.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., RCMP located a deceased male in the hotel. Although still under investigation, RCMP consider this to be a non criminal death and are not looking for any suspects.

There will be no further updates.

St. Albert RCMP advise of ongoing police incident

St. Albert Alta. – St. Albert RCMP are currently on-scene of an active police incident at the Horizon Motel at 440 St. Albert Trail. There is no immediate threat to the public; however, there will be a heavy police presence while officers respond.

Police ask that residents avoid the area and refrain from posting photos of officers on social media.
