On February 27, 2022, at approximately 6:30 pm, Spruce Plains RCMP responded to a fire at a rural residence on 71 Road West, in the RM of Westlake-Gladstone.
Initial investigation has determined that family members attended the residence and noticed flames coming from the home. One of the family members immediately went inside, located an injured 24-year-old male, and pulled him out of the structure.
The 24-year-old male was pronounced deceased at scene.
There was no one else in the residence at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined but it does not appear to be suspicious.
Spruce Plains RCMP along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner, continue to investigate.
