Around 8:00 a.m. July 12, 2022, an adult male was located deceased in the water at Bradwell Reservoir. The male was recovered by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team this morning and is the 51-year-old male who was unaccounted for after a canoe capsized on July 7 in the Bradwell Reservoir.

His family has been notified and our thoughts are with them.

Saskatoon RCMP: one deceased, one unaccounted for after canoe capsizes in Bradwell Reservoir

On July 7, 2022 at approximately 6:35 p.m., Saskatoon RCMP received a report of a capsized canoe in the Bradwell Reservoir, which is approximately 1 kilometre southeast of Bradwell, SK.

Investigation determined an adult male and a 5-year-old child were canoeing, when the canoe capsized. The child was retrieved from the water and transported to hospital by STARS, where he was declared deceased. His family has been notified and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

The adult male has not been located. A search of the reservoir is ongoing, with assistance from Allan Fire Department, Allan Search and Rescue and Saskatoon Police Service Air Services.

The public is asked to avoid the reservoir and to respect all direction given by first responders in the area.
