RCMP seeking public’s help following hit and run

The Hampton RCMP is asking for the public's help following a hit and run involving a parked vehicle in Long Point, N.B.

On August 27, 2022, at approximately 8:15 a.m., police received a report of a hit and run involving a parked vehicle that was believed to have occurred during the overnight hours on Route 850 in Long Point. Through a subsequent investigation, police believe that a driver, travelling westbound at approximately 2:30 a.m., collided with an SUV that was parked on the side of the road, and fled the scene. This caused the SUV to hit a second vehicle that was also parked. Both vehicles sustained major damage.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed the collision, or who may have information about the collision, to contact the Hampton RCMP at 506-832-5566.
